Challenge: How can I develop a service engagement mindset for IPN professionals to address societal problems?
The Ismaili Professional Network (IPN) is a network of 50,000+ professionals. IPN aims to connect, educate, and inspire professionals to grow within their careers and develop a service engagement mindset. The organization is struggling to engage professionals in applying their expertise to address social problems and practice service engagement. I am designing an Innovation and Design Lab to identify partners to address a real-world problem with IPN design teams utilizing human centered design.
Design Role: National Project Lead and Public Service Alliance Lead
I am building the program from ground-up. I am engaging tri-sector partners, identifying real world problems, and developing workshops to train design teams in utilizing human centered design. The goal is to pilot two design teams to address a global problem with AKDN and a local problem focusing on access to employment and skills training. I will be an active member of both teams to design solutions and iterate the design of the program to scale the model.
